Sunday May 22: Welcome Reception

A welcome reception will be held on Sunday evening, May 22, 2022 from 18:00 to 20:00 in the Cirrus Room located at the 35th Floor of the conference hotel. This event is open to all registered conference attendees and companions. Welcome reception is included in your registration fee. Please be sure to stop by and take advantage of this networking opportunity.

Monday May 23: Reception for Women in Engineering (WIE)

ICOPS-2022 will host a reception on Monday evening, May 23 from 18:00 to 19:30. This event is open to all registered conference attendees and companions. The reception will include food and drinks.

The speaker at this event will be Dr. Kimberly S. Budil, Director, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Her talk is titled Engineering a Career in National Security, Science Technology and Engineering. Whitney Thomas, Ph.D. student, University of Washington will moderate the WIE session.

Tuesday, May 24: Young Professionals (YP) Symposium

The YP Symposium will be on Tuesday evening, May 24, 2022, from 18:30 to 20:00.  This event is open to all registered conference attendees. The reception will include food and drinks.

This year’s Young Professionals Symposium will feature a panel of four national graduate and postgraduate fellowship recipients discussing the application process and their experience with the pros and cons of fellowship funding. The panelists will be: Ms. Jenny Smith, DoD SMART and NDSEG fellow; Dr. Samuel Schaub, past NRC postdoctoral fellow; Mr. Lucas Beving, DoE SCGR fellow; Ms. Erin Thornton, DoD SMART fellow. Wednesday May 25: ICOPS Awards Banquet

The ICOPS Banquet will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 18:00 to 21:00 in the Grand Ballroom. The dinner and ceremony following will acknowledge and present awards for our recognized, outstanding members and students in the plasma science community, as well as best student paper.
This event is open to all registered conference attendees and companions. Please be sure to purchase your tickets at for a nominal fee of US$50 for conference attendees and US$50 for companions. Tickets can be purchased during the registration process and at the registration desk on site (if-available). The total number of tickets is limited.

ICOPS Virtual Career Fair
